Rachael Leigh Cook is thriving! ET’s Deidre Behar talked to your actress that is 40-year-old whom exposed about life after divorce proceedings, the newest guy inside her life, along with her future Netflix film, Love, Guaranteed.
Cook along with her ex-husband, Daniel Gillies, first announced their split in, before formally filing for breakup month that is last. While Cook admitted that determining to split was “really difficult,” she along with her ex have discovered method to make it work.
“It was difficult whenever Daniel and I made a decision to split due to the massive implications that come with that in addition to upheaval, but truthfully, we are great,” she claims. “we are buddies now. We speak about things we never discussed prior to because we now have this brand new relationship.”
“He’ll let me know about dates which he continues on and funny items that may have occurred and we also truly laugh about any of it,” she adds. “I do not understand. Divorce needs a brand new publicist. It isn’t that bad.”
The set share two kids — Charlotte, 6, and Theodore, 5 — and now have discovered a method to seamlessly that is co-parent.
“I do not realize that component any longer difficult than once we had been parenting-parenting,” Cook states. “It is pretty cool in order to divide obligations [50/50]. We kinda suggest it.”
While all is good regarding the parenting front side together with her ex-husband, Cook is dealing with a parenting that is new — when you should introduce the tots into the brand brand new guy inside her life.
“we just do not know just how to achieve that,” she admits. “we gotta read books on how to do that first.
